Our Story – About Gooseberry Press
At Gooseberry Press, we believe that style & the environment go hand in hand. We utilize soy, veggie & water based inks for our printing needs & we source paper with high recycled content. We are proud to feature soy, bamboo & organic cotton in our baby line. Our soy and bamboo products are made from renewable resources & have naturally protective qualities - perfect for babies!
Nina Kulick – Owner+Designer
After working for years in scientific research at various universities, Nina started Gooseberry Press to pursue her love of art and design. She loves vintage fabric & ribbon, funky color combinations and is crazy about pattern. Most days you can find her in the studio trying to get some work done, staring at fabric swatches and "coloring" in Adobe Photoshop as she pleads with her cat Jules to "stop helping" and get off of the keyboard. She dreams of traveling around the world to "research" more cities... for work of course.
Stephannie Barba – Illustrator+Designer
Already a professional illustrator and lettering artist at art school, Stephannie began her career in stationery working as a designer for Kate's Paperie in New York City which was conveniently located right next door. Inspired by her love for all things French, she soon created her own line of bespoke stationery and maps, illustrated in her unique and quirky style. In her spare time, she bakes vegan treats for her two très delightful dogs and is proud to be car and cell phone free. She has traveled around the world with her maps and loves living in San Francisco. Please check out her website and her amazing portfolio: www.couturemaps.com.
Aaron Kulick – Hanger-On+Web Dude
Aaron brings almost a decade of useless, high-volume, high-availability, thousand+ node, web and database, Unix based, enterprise system management experience to Gooseberry Press. His passions for geek gadgets and computer games have no utility, whatsoever. He does not understand color coordination, thinks all children should be swaddled in sackcloth, a "bag" is made from rip-stop, ballistic nylon and has a laptop pocket, black (and sometimes grey) goes with everything, and has almost no detectable sense of style. However, should Gooseberry Press ever need the internet hardware equivalent of a Fortune 100 website and all the trimmings, Nina has someone she can turn to.
Stylish city totes, baby gear, paper goods & crafty bits with an eco-friendly twist. It's Easy Being Green!
